More than ever before, everybody needs to work. This is not really a very patriotic or nationalistic expression, this is merely a practical line. Indeed, if you do not have work, how will you be able to live?

This is more of an obligation of the company as mandated by the federal government of the United States. After all, you need to be paid because you have worked and you have contributed much to the company. If the company fails to pay you regularly, then they can be sued, and they can be put to jail. At the same point, if you fail to work as the company expects you to, and if you did not deliver the expected output, then the same company is entitled and empowered to delay your workers compensation.
The whole point of this is that we all need to work and we all need to be compensated. You need to get paid by the company you are working for because it is their duty to so. At the same weight, you also need to work as expected by the company who hired you because it is your obligation to work.
